V6 engine F1 2026

A personal project for the arrival of the new 2026 F1 engines, and my first step in CATIA: a V6 in cutaway view to study how it moves inside.

Step 1

Moving to CATIA and joints

After a lot of time on SolidWorks, I moved my projects to CATIA, which needs very strict kinematic joints.

  • First steps on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its cloud file management.
  • Revolute and cylindrical joints set one by one.
  • Assembly ready for simulation, with no conflicts.

Step 2

The motion

Check that the engine cycle works, from the crankshaft to the pistons.

  • Simulation of the full cycle.
  • Interference check.
  • Cutaway view to read the inner motion.
