A cabin table designed with Air France’s PNC Lab.
- Aircraft
- B777-300ER
- Available width
- 11.7 cm
- Tray
- 50 × 45 cm
- Max weight
- 19.9 kg
The need
A desk for the cabin manager
New cabins removed the cabin manager’s desk. They needed an ergonomic, retractable workstation to step aside and manage the cabin.
- Fits in the S2 stowage of door 1G.
- Only 11.7 cm wide, without blocking access to the seat.
- Aviation standards, 19.9 kg weight limit, turbulence resistance.

The solution
A double scissor
A double X design that gives an ergonomic working height while staying compact enough for storage.
- 50 × 45 cm tray, very stable.
- Tablet holder in the handle and cup holder, added at Air France’s request.
- Easy to pull out, one-hand unfolding, safety lock when open.

The project
Project lead, from start to finish
I led the team and was Air France’s main contact, from September 2025 to April 2026.
- Design, modelling and kinematics in SolidWorks, with videos of use.
- Several iterations approved by the client.
- Invited by Air France to visit a maintenance hangar to check our dimensions.
